I have found many of Fripp's comments amusing. Perhaps some are intentional an others are not. Some appear to be very subtle.
At least once in his diary I read a statement along the lines of (this is not a verbatim quote, but it was something like this):
'We were picked up by our driver from the hotel for a departure at approximately 6:18 p.m.'
What amused me was stating a time like 6:18 was stated as approximate instead of referring to a time like 6:20 or 6:30. Perhaps Fripp keeps track of time in seconds for all of his activities. Whether intended or not, the statement was amusing, at least for me.
