He would have to resample each note to gain the benefit of true 24bit rez. Otherwise, it's just a dither down to 16bit.  If the entire system is at 24bit, any onboard effects will sound nicer at 24bit, but it all depends on so much more than just bit rate.  I still hear tracks done at 16/48 that blow away 24/96 or 24/192.  Not sure it's worth a complete redo.  I still work in 16/48.

But does batch-converting 16 bit to 24 bit improve the sound? I would think that resampling would be necessary. Also the Pinder samples were sampled at 22,050 Hz. There's lots of room for improvement there.
