Eh up,

The M300 split sound is a weird one.  It must have been on very early M300s as the only sounds we have ever found on numerous M300s we have renovated are the M300A violins(Woolly's sound)which is two in unison and the M300B violin which is a solo violin recording. The earlier split sound with cello, viola and violin is good in principle but not too attractive in practice.  We now offer a blended Cello/Viola/Violin mix which covers all 52 notes of the M300 and that works well. We also do the same for choirs and saxes.

Check out the new BJH album 'Legacy' which is a live recording made in London 2006.  Very mellotronic.
