Tropical Storm Jose is heading this way. Any bets on whether or not it tries to enter our country illegally?

Well, I've just gotten back online thanks to my emergency generator.
After five small black outs yesterday afternoon, the power finally went down for good all over my neighborhood at around 5:50PM.
First order of business was to get my wife’s Autocad station back up and running off the generator…her back up battery was going fast and didn’t seem to want to get the computer on…
Lots of huge trees are down, laying over power lines and in streets.
Saw one power pole snapped in half.
The local Martins grocery is on back up generator.
They have some aisle lights but it is kinda dark...real third world stuff. Only dry and canned goods...all the freezer chilled units are dark, and they had to ship everything out.
A real mess.
If this is anything like Isabel...people will be w/o electrical power for up to two weeks....
As usual after a hurricane, very nice sunny blue sky day…and HOT ……………with no AC.
And the lovely sound of chain saws floating on a gentle southern breeze through my open windows……..

Bad storm. NW Jersey. Lightning, torrential rain. The worst should hit us mid morning. My dogs don't like it much.

Earthquakes, hurricanes, what next?
3:45PM and the rain is coming down with a blustry roar …. in sheets ….sideways!
My back backyard is a mess and two small dazed water logged sparrows have taken refuge up under the overhang on my back porch…pitiful sight.
Power has gone off three times….but forunately it is backon.
Several blocks up the first big tree has come down…50/50 chance of hitting the house… and this guy was lucky…
How are you other east coast guys faring?
Jim
