I recommend The Ascent of Man by Jacob Bronowsk. Its Cosmos that instead of the universe, looks are the evolution of man in terms of art and science. I had a college class based on the series in 1973 which dovetailed with prog rock and my search for meaning in life.

First episode on U Tube found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHJrSZWFQFo

And besides "42" I'm still looking.

Glad to hear that!
The "Cosmos" series is worth owning.
Liked it as it ran, bought it for "on my demand" viewing.
Pity Dr. Sagan died so young.

Well Tony,  I feel better already….

Hang onto that vinyl …yeah….I understand the re-mastered for CD was not as good, and I’ve seen this vinyl on Ebay for some “big” bucks.

(I bought it after hearing the part at 2:20 on Carl Sagan’s Cosmos TV program…a part about whales…if I’m not mistaken).

I bought it the day it was released, and don't feel a day over 56.

My favorite artist/band hands down.

Was cleaning out some stuff in my house,  boxing up old vinyl’s….(yes…I still have some).

Stumbled upon this old import album.

Music that preceded the ’Trance era…found in the electronic section of the local Penquin Feather store (some of you guys may remember those).

Boy, do I feel old now.

Comments as seen on Youtube….

“Edgar Froese certainly got it right on this LP...one of the best Mellotron-based works ever.”

“One of the most fantastic and greatest albums ever. It inspired me to make an almost all Mellotron album of my own. Soft ware is good but that twin mark 5 and m400 are much better than mine.”

The old vinyl recording with the great mellotron sequence at the beginning, I found better. She was fantastic, not as synthetic as this new release.
