Vance,
Sounds like the 6 points to connection deal.
Those buildings were huge, of course, from the photos I've seen.
My dad did everything he could to get me into the Air Force Academy, but as a dumb, single minded kid (15), when I took the eye eam (from dad's friend and eye doctor), I found out the obvious. You can't be a Command pilot wearing glasses, but a few years later and too late, I found out the "back seater" could wear glasses and had to be able to fly the plane!
I would have enjoyed "greasing ragheads" in and F-15, as the weapons officer kept the pilot (as well as himself) alive, doing everything from jamming radars, to launching the ordnance!

Remember the aptitude tests in High School?
Mine were 1: Air Force officer, 2: Army officer.

As dad used to say (too soon old, too late smart), not in reference to me, but in general.
But I admit it, so I do my flying on the ground in race cars.
Driving an Arrows F1 car on my birhday (by chance) outside Monticello, NY.
750 BHP, 220 MPH ex Damon Hill machine, up to 5 G braking, and 4 G turning, ought to be fun!
