Subject: Cats eating tapes!

Actually Rick, in the levity of the moment, I missed an opportunity to take your warning seriously.  You hear about ribbon, string and other long pieces of stuff that cats (& dogs) can ingest, but I've never heard about Mellotron tapes!  You may have wanted to kill 'em for eating your tapes, but (& I know you're of like mind!) the reality of "intestinal torsion," where a long, non-breakable object (Mellotron tape, for example) gets wound through the intestines, catching and soon twisting and cutting through them, is a serious surgical emergency, or an agonizingly painful death you wouldn't wish on anyone, let alone a beloved pet.  I'm VERY seriously glad your kitties were okay after that little episode!

With all the upcoming Christmas wrapppings an all in our near future, don't forget - ribbons are not toys, they're deadly! And BTW, for your pets, so are pointsettias & CHOCOLATE! Keep them all to yourself!!!  And have FUN, safe, Holidays!!!  Meow.
