My idea for documenting patches for my own personal use consists of cheekily
downloading the front panel images from synthtech.com, then using Paint Shop
Pro or similar to reverse the images, and white-out the knobs. They can then
be imported into MS Word or something similar and arranged into the order as
they appear in your rack. Its then a simple case of drawing on the position of
the knob pointers and patch leads.
This was inspired by a Do∗∗fer patch book that I heard about. This has a
transparancy front cover, allowing you to change your mind half way through.
