My apologies for sending this twice but I got an aol error message on the
first send!!!
Finally a question I can answer!!!
=POWER(2∗B4,1/12)
(I'm assuming "two' of the cell above it" means 2 times the cell above it...)
If this equation is in cell B5 then B4 represents the cell above it!!!
Power(a,b) is the excel funtion that raises a to the b power... Power(2,3)
would return 8, Power(2,4) would return 16...
To get the root of a number you would invert b and write it as
Power(a,1/b)... Power(16,4) would return 2... 2 is the 4th root of 16...
If you wanted the root of 2 of 'a' you would write the equation Power(2∗a/1/b)
Okay, I'm boring myself!!!
Go ahead and plug numbers in the attached little excel speadsheet and have
fun...
If it's not quite what you're after go ahead send the equation and I'll be
more than happy to work it out for you!!!
Good Luck...
