Home Depot and Lowe's are pretty low on selection for hard woods, that's for
sure, but the one thing they do have going for them in the Red Oak is that
they have a bunch of pre-cut sizes that would require very little working.
For instance, they have ½" x 2" x 3' strips which you just need to cut to
size for braces (to mount the forthcoming module rails to) and 8" wide
planks that just need three or four cuts with the table saw at 45 degrees to
make the outside of the cabinet.

I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons. I want the best I can get, but
convenience is a factor since I will probably be adding cabinets every now
and then for the foreseeable future to house more modules, so I need to be
able to "stamp" these things out when I need them without too much trouble.
