. But now I hear I invested in a company that is about to drop the 5U focus.
Ouch man.

Where did I say this?

a) if you don't own any MOTM modules, then you still can get all the ones
∗everyone else has∗.

b) .com has released like 3 new modules in 6 years. He is not exactly
cranking out new stuff, either. The latest quantizer module is the first new
one since the 960 sequencer stuff and that was 3-4 years prior.

c) there are still 4 new MOTM modules in the pipeline: The 102, the BPF, the
CG and the MT. I'll bet these 4 will ship long before .com has 4 new ones to
ship, unless I'm wrong. Then I'm wrong :)

After Paul H. had the disabling stroke, and I had to change jobs
(unrelated), I had to drop the full kits. I figured: no Modcan kits, no .com
kits, so why no MOTM kits so 'terrible'? But if it turns out that 99% of
MOTM customers are ∗because∗ of the kits, then I guess I'm f-ed. But my
∗hope∗ is that it's because of the MOTM sound and build quality and although
the kits were a big initial attraction, that alone is not just cause to no
longer buy from be assembled, even if analog (ie the BPF).

It's a gamble, but it's all I can do at ∗this stage∗ in my life. Things in
April 2010 are ∗vastly different∗ in my personal life than when I began in
Feb. 1998. I may no longer be in 'MOTM heyday' but I am still here trying to
make a go at it.

See my next post.
