Sorry I didn't get to John's question earlier - I've been off the radar for a couple of days. Yes, that's the mod I was talking about in my original post.

Since no-one else has responded, I will. There's a mod in the original docs
that gives the resonance pot a little more travel before it goes into self
oscillation. The default setting has self oscillation starting at about 12
oclock - doing the mod moves it to about 2 or 3.
