Subject: Standing up or sitting down?

Dave, it looks like you sit in your studio, which makes sense if you're
playing the keyboards a lot. A while back, when I mentioned on this
list that I was adding a fifth row of cabinets, Scott Juskiw wondered if
I'd have to use a ladder! Actually, I can reach the top row of knobs on
my synth easily, because I work standing up like those
nineteenth-century academics (John Stuart Mill) who would study for
hours standing at a desk. I like standing while working on patches. It
seems to focus my attention and keep me alert. I use the keyboard only
occasionally. I don't use foot pedals, either. Sometimes I do pull up
a chair to sit in front of the Pro-Tools screen and computer keyboard.

So: Do you prefer to sit or stand while working with your MOTM? This
intent seems to be an unstated assumption when designing a cabinet, and
I wanted to bring it out for discussion in that context.
