Subject: Re: [motm] Micro Seq and VC Divider...

When should we have hopes to order these? and use them in our modulars?

uSeq: next year. I'm going to redesign the CPU card and the software has to
be ported over to ARM.

VC Pulse Divide: I'm going to try my best to have this the "Christmas
module". I was planning for the Cloud Generator, but with all the backlog
still there and my non-MOTM schedule, it is unlikely that I will have the
time to get this ready for production. BTW: things are going really well for
the 'technology demonstrator' breadboard, we have a real front panel cabled
over to the dev boards and in real-time we can wiggle pots and hear the
Cloud effect. The production firmware is about 60% completed (written and
debugged). The next step is to add the dedicated hardware SPI port into the
FPGA that talks to the precision 16-bit ADC from the Pitch CV. Once this is
going, there there is a HW/SW 'lookup' that mimics an exponential generator
(no drift!) to map the linear CV data to proper musical pitches.

The reason I doubt Christmas is that the actual AudioEngine pcb layout is
going to be about 60 man-hours, probably an 8-layer board about 1.5in x 3
in. packed asshole-to-elbow as Granny would say. The VC Divider is only
about 10 man-hr, it's much 'lower tech'.
