Subject: FS: various MOTM & Blacet modules

From: "object88" <object88@...>
Date: 2006-02-14

I'm fully moved into my new apartment, and as anticipated, have no
room for all the stuff I've accumulated. Sadly, the modular gear must go.

Everything below was assembled by me, with the exception of the multi,
which was preassembled by Paul S.

MOTM
-101 Noise / S&H
-110 Ring Mod / VCA
-120 Sub-Octave
-190 uVCA
-380 Quad LFO
-390 uLFO
-410 Triple resonant filter
-490 uVCF
-820 Lag
-830 Dual-Mode mixer
-850 Pedal interface
-890 uMix (busted IN5 pot)
-900 PSU
-910 Multi

As noted, the -890 has a busted IN5 pot. It looks like the pot took
an impact right on the knob, which sent the shaft inward, breaking the
actual pot mechanism. To get this in proper order, you'll need to
disassemble the front panel, unsolder the pot, replace, and
reassemble. The knob looks undamaged. As far as I can tell, the
module still works with the busted pot-- you just don't get input 5.

Jason Proctor can speak to my skills as a MOTM kit builder, as he has
purchased several of kits in the past.

I also have two Blacet kits for sale: the Time Machine and the
Klangwerk. Both are partially assemlbed-- meaning that the PCBs are
partially stuffed & soldered, but no wires, pots, jacks, etc. have
been done. Both include panels, the Time Machine panel is predrilled.
When assembling the Time Machine, I made a minor mistake. I inserted
a 16-pin DIP socket where a 14-pin should have gone. The pins
happened to line up perfectly with a pair of resistor holes. The
upshot is that the resisters, when inserted, will have to "jump" up
into the socket. I purchased a replacement 16-pin DIP socket for
where it should have originally gone, and that's included.

In addition, I have three panels: a 1U blank, an OMS-820 expander
panel (predrilled), and an OMS-201 wavefolder panel.

I also have all the docs that have come with the various modules (plus
a slew that I've already sold). You want those, you got'em. You
don't, I'll recycle them. No problem.

I'd like to sell the whole thing at once. Barring that, I'd like to
sell locally (I'm in Oakland, CA.). I'd like to get $3000 (+
shipping, if necessary), which is about the cost of everything in kit
form, short a few panels. Is this fair?

My name is Paul, and I can be reached at 510-846-3308. Feel free to
call any time between 10am and 10pm PST. Alternately, there's email,
of course. Seeing how inactive I've been with MOTM, I won't be
checking this list regularily... so best not to reply here. :)

Thanks for reading!
