Subject: FS: MOTM System for Sale

From: Jeff Laity <synthetic@...>

Unfortunately, my MOTM modular synth has to go for financial reasons.
If you or anyone you know is in the market for a full working system,
or simply looking for more modules for their existing synth, check
out this affordable package. These components are assembled, working
great and available for immediate shipping.

Here is the system I'm selling:

300 Ultra VCO: One full-featured oscillator
310 Micro VCO: Only micro in size -- it has the same sound and many
of the features of the 300
490 Moog VCF: The sweetest-sound Moog-styled ladder filter out there,
with the widest dynamic range
190 VCA/Ring Modulator: The essential component for amplitude
modulation and modulation scaling, with a second channel for
amplitude or ring modulation
(2) 800 envelopes: A pair of ADSR envelopes
390 Micro LFO: Two LFOs for modulation, you can even modulate one
from the other

This system delivers the fattest two-oscillator synth with Moog
filtering you've ever encountered. You can achieve everything from
basic Moog basses and leads to far-out frequency modulated excursions
on the best-sounding modular synth ever produced. There's much more
information at synthtech.com, but you've already read all of that stuff.

This package includes a 960 power distribution board and a 3 Amp
Power One filtered power supply -- the same core as the 900 or 950,
but with over three times the juice to power dozens of modules. Also
included are a pair of 19" rack rails, so this entire system can fit
into five rack spaces with two slots left over for your next modules.
I'm also throwing in a pile of Hosa patch cables to get you started.

All of the modules listed here were assembled and tested by me and
are in perfect working order. They are cosmetically "excellent," I
will not say mint since there are probably some minor scratches under
the screw heads where I mounted them to the rack.

I'm asking $1,550 for the system, including power supply, cables and
rack rails. This is about what you would pay for them in kit form,
only these are already assembled and ready to play. It's an excellent
deal for someone getting started with a modular synth or for someone
looking to expand their existing system for the price of a virtual
analog synth. I would rather sell the entire system than one module
at a time.

I also have a Kenton Pro/2 MIDI to CV two-channel converter that I'm
selling for $200. This is a great, inexpensive way to interface the
MOTM with your MIDI sequencing system. Pitch tracking is excellent,
with pitch bend control already assigned. You also get two CV sources
per channel, which can be controlled from MIDI control messages,
aftertouch, and can also function as Trigger outputs for tighter
envelope control. It includes eight 1/8" to 1/4" cables for
connection to the MOTM system.

There are photos of the system here:

Shipping is not included. You can pick it up in the Los Angeles area.
I will only ship this system within the continental USA. No
international sales, sorry. I have 45 positive eBay feedback messages
(and one negative, note the no international sales above), check
"synthetic88" on eBay for my selling history. I accept Paypal or a
bank check. Please email with any questions, synthetic@....

Thanks for your time, -jl
