While weeding out an overly full bookshelf, I found something that might be
useful to someone on this list: a photocopy of the Oberheim Xpander service
manual. I used to own one of these machines and got a copy of the manual at
some point. Now I no longer have the synthesizer and no longer need the
manual.
It's about a half-inch-thick stack of double-sided pages. The legibility of
the schematics is not great, but the calibration routines are entirely
readable. There is also a copy of an email I got somewhere which describes
how to service the power supply--something which I personally undertook
successfully.
I'll send it he first person who offers to PayPal me five bucks for postage
and my time, or offers to trade me some interesting MOTM-related trinket.
Sorry, I have to restrict this to mailing addresses in the United States. I
have nothing against people in other countries, but I currently do not have
the time to go to a post office and fill out a customs form for this.
