How about using an inline fuse on thespeakers?  I have a 1.5 amp fuse inline with my Urei 809's and they'vedefinitely saved my ass several times.  I'm pretty sure my hafler poweredmonitors have fuses too but I'm not sure if they would work the same way.

Adam, don't feel like the Lone Ranger.  Early on, I blew thetweeter on
one of mypowered Yamaha monitors due to manually misadjusted MOTM
levels -inexperience with these hot signals.  I think a limiter would be
very useful, and I would like to hear what others are using.
