wow, midi clock from a pulse train........ wow again!

"a 1u panel of MIDI transport controls" now youre getting somewhere.. modular MIDI !! maybe a 1u panel with say 4 knobs and 4 jacks.. these would output -5to+5v and also send MIDI CC messages... hmm.. im not even too sure why this would be useful, but modules based on integrating MIDI into our systems is a new and modern direction for a modular synth methinks.. MAybe have the 650 as the MIDI brain of the midi modules, with each one connected to it via a ribbon, and the 650 could handle the thinking and in/out of the midi commands.. Maybe a module that would read midi CC's and just be a field of jacks outputting cv's based on the cc's?.. so you'd have your 320 timing your whole rig and then some sequencer doing all kinds of fades and changes using midi cc's and the forementioned module. maybe a variable lag on all the cc outputs to keep any stepping out of the way.

seems like a great way to bring MIDI integration into our modulars.. lead the way Paul!!!!
