Sounds like a way to short pins to each other, as well as nearby vias.
BTW: Many of the 500/600 Series (but NOT all) modules will have SMT, and therefore are
'semi-kits' like the MOTM-900 power supply is. The main pcb is pre-soldered, but you still attach
wire/pots/jacks, etc. I will include self-test code when possible. The SMT lead spacing is in
most cases not "horrible" but maily the problem is kitting (want a teaspoon of caps the size of a
speck of pepper?).
There are ~400 modules on backlog (including the '480) with about 115 being assembled. At least I
won't be bored :)
All pumped up, as the first of a long line (hopefully) of super whiz-bang 'hybrid' modules
(digital control of analog functions) I start designing tomorrow (well, actually the SW
breadboard). In many cases, the SW is the pacing item, and as Tonk K. will testify, can extend
towards infinity, time-wise.
I also hope to get the production sample of the WaveWarper finished by the end on this month. The
pacing item is the UK-made rotary switches, still 10 weeks away from arriving. Gack......but I
have 3 leftover :)
