We don’t want autopanning, we wantpanning by modular control voltages. The autopanning possible from these digital tools is only a subset ofthe modulations that are possible in a true modular system. Most likely they offer a simple LFO tocontrol it but no complex waveshapes, envelopes, sequences, etc. By this token we could all buy soft synthsand throw away our MOTMs.

figured out that you can buy a $500 EFX processor,
Digital Performer/Pro Tools, or (gasp) aboard that
does auto-panning/fading??
