This makes sense - thanks Paul. In the earlygoing, I had tried simple
feedback loops with each of the filters (as well as other modules) to help
me learn about their sonic characteristics. I had noticed that this
feedback was very similar to the res control. (Believe me, I'm still
learning!) I've also experimented with chaining a 420 to a 440 and feeding
back the 440 output to a 420 input - different and cool.
I haven't tried it yet, but I bet applying the technique you've described
above with a 410 would produce ∗interesting∗ results.
So, I'm thinking a "filter companion module" to add this VC res
functionality (and maybe provide access to the resonance loop) would be
useful, eh? Or maybe a daughter board to hold the VCA and add a jack for
res-in (and possibly res-out).
