The metal test panels are going to you in the mail tomorrow. After you look
them over, I need them back.
You will find three dimples in each. Those are what are called bumps test
to check the hardness of the finish. They were 20, 50 , and 70 lbs bumps.
You can see what they did to the metal. The front side paint was not
damaged. Only that on the back (really the front) that was stretched out.
The finish is very durable.

When I used to rock n' roll with a band which used a lot of pyro, we
built flash pots which were nothing more than 2 screw terminals with
an AC cord attached. Instead of buying special trigger wire, we would
make our own by taking zip wire and unravelling it to use a single
strand of thin copper. The 120v was enough to pop it every time,
without blowing breakers. Of course, you can fry yourself if you wire
it up and it's still plugged in. Dangerous!

igniters. Check your hobby shop.. You can light them off 3 or
4 "D" cells quite easily. I never tried AA, but seems reasonable,
just not as many times. :)
