Yes, you will have to go through the process again.

Because the process writes the boot code into the software ROM. Then you swap the software ROM (which has the boot code) into the boot ROM.

If you can boot up, then you write the software back into the HAWK, at that point, you're writing the software into what used to be the boot ROM.

I hope that makes sense.

So send the boot code.
Swap the chips.
Write the software again.
Set up global parameters (especially 34 and 58).
Upload patch banks or create your own patches.

Hey Mike,

Extended parameter 58 is set to 1, but I’ll check again if I am doing it correctly. Thanks for the bottom octave tip, I’ll check to make sure it is in place, as with FM-800. Once those are in place, I’ll check in about the boot ROM- I’m too fidgety to do that myself. I figure I’d have to do it all over again once I do that, right? Thanks for the help! :)
