Thanks.

I'm hoping I can improve how to make Osc's using methods I find described in various places on the net.

Seems the best way is to have a 44100Khz sample base and alter the size of the waveform inside that block of samples, as described here.
That will be my next attempt.
I'm also looking into applying MinBLEPs

I may just try to extract much of the work from this fella's open source project.
He has pretty much a full monosynth built, but he didnt include any MIDI NOTES triggering!
Even though you can adjust all the parameters with CC's via a OTG USB cable between the STMF4 Discovery Board and a USB Keyboard.
So far I have come to understand how he get's audio data to the External 16bit DAC on that F4 Discovery board (via I2S protocol) and found where the MIDI data is extracted and applied.
So basically I am working from the outside of the functions, inwards (Input/Output).
I'm having a devil of a time figuring out how to import all his files into Eclipse or Keil so I can edit his work.. I'm still so green at this Toolchain business :(

It's slow going since I work full time and only have partial evenings a couple times a week and maybe on weekend to dabble into it.

Interesting to hear you have most of the work done to re CPU the Poly.  I imagine that would make it be able to run the ADBSSR's much faster.  And have it respond to MIDI messages better and perhaps ad a nice informative LCD screen too.. just for starters.
I was surprised to hear you have plans to replace the Poly Voice chip.   Wouldn't that essentially be gutting most of what makes the Poly a Poly?

I'd be interested in helping out of I can get a grip on making nice Osc's sometime soon.
The F407 chips are really cheap now with a built in 2 Channel12bit DAC.
