Hi Guys, I'm new. I picked up a Korg Poly 800 a couple of weeks ago for $100. It's a little beat up and had no sounds in it. I opened it up and saw some one modified it so the 2032 coin sized battery could be replaced. So I replaced it and popped in new C batteries. I could never get successfully load in the original sounds from my laptop using the headphones out and a downloaded .wav file nor a downloaded .mp3 file. However, I was able to manually reprogram a few sounds and then using my old cassette player/recorder was able to save them to the tape and re-load from the tape. So I will try dumping the .wav to my tape player/recorder to see if that'll work.
But I question, why are there two batteries for the Poly 800? What do each of them do? Anyone know?
Thanks
Bob
