Subject: Re: [korgpolyex] Testers wanted : Hawk 800 Max for Live editor

Joe,

I know it's been a while. Are you doing anything with the Max for Live plugin for HAWK800 now? Is it essentially done?

Do I have to have Ableton to use it? Is there some other way?

Excuse my silly questions. I am trying to expand the HAWK web site.

/Mike

That looks great, Joe!

Looking forward to testing it. I guess I'll have to get hold of Max 7, though.

Incidentally, did you have to use some kind of Max external, in order to send and receive sysex through Max4Live? This was always the stumbling-block with M4L synth editors.

Keep up the good work.

Great, thanks for the responses so far. I just finished the extremely tedious task of making a pixel perfect layout in Max. This patcher uses the new Max 7 custom UI scripting, which allows completely custom looking objects that behave otherwise as expected. This allows having Max for LIve objects that are fully automatable in Live but don't have to look like your standard Ableton controls.

I have some debugging to do on some parameters that are sending incorrect values and should hopefully have a first testing version in a few days.

A teaser of the UI (note some Max 7 bugs like text labels left aligning when assigned center)
EX800 themed. May consider MK1 and MK2 themes when Max 7 is less buggy
