Subject: AW: [korgpolyex] Korg EX-800 flickering display

Hy,

I'm not pretty shure if 500mA is enough.
Try a 1A power supply first if you can get one. And be aware of plug-polarisation!

Hi folks, I'm new to this group. I have acquired a korg ex-800 and when I turn it on the 7 segment display is dim and flickers, pp18 says the circuit is designed so that the Led display dims when voltage drops below rated level ~6V. The circuit board is very clean (to my surprise), the backup battery voltage is 3.2V do you think its a voltage issue or perhaps a display IC ??   I don't have the original ac adapter but I'm using a 9V 500ma, which should work well. I haven't started to actually check voltages yet, I just want to know where to start..

thanks
