I am bit biased toward not putting the POTS in at all because with the AtomaHawk installed you have full MIDI control over everything. So a controller is all you need to get control over literally everything.

But that's just me.

And yes, putting the POTS in alongside of AtomaHawk does mangle MIDI unless you set the POTS to zero each and every time you want a consistent patch/MIDI experience.

Hi Mike,

thanks for the response.

I think I'll wait now until Hawk/atomahawk at installed and working, but while I'm in there I'll scope out the circuits for potential mods in this area.

I've ordered a tube of op-amps and a breadboard etc so I can prototype some interfacing, time permitting.

Also got some further mods to do to my sequential circuits synth, so I'll be busy...

BTW, I was considering the simple pot mods for the extreme resonance (moog slayer) but now I wonder if I should, since the 800 will have atoma-hawk added soon. Would both even play nicely. I mean how would the position of the pots and the midi / software derived control voltages interact. Would it make sense to have both, potentially?

Thanks for the help.

All the best, Louis
