Subject: Some nice introspective musak!

Well, it's 2015 and we as a small community of Poly lovers have been way too quiet here.

I want to thank all of you for being on a parallel path of love and adoration for the Poly-800. It was a cheap, chintzy and much disdained instrument when originally launched by Korg. But it has retained a dedicated following all through the passing decades because it was built for the amateur wannabee musician composer end of the market and there are a LOT of people like that in the world. Forget the retrospective sentimentality about 1982 for a moment, despite those emotions being very valid.

Most of us will NEVER launch a full album or will even ever have more than half a dozen people ever hear our music creations or compositions (and thos half dozen will probably NOT like what we've created) but that doesn't make us waver one bit because at root within each of us (despite our serious human failings) lies a foundational core of understanding that despite the endless darkness of the void there IS meaning and depth to what we do and say and especially, which note we press and which MIDI CC we choose to twiddle.

Here's a little recommended late night listening.

No, I am not on drugs. I just don't think we talk enough and this group has been way too quiet for far too long.

I am still selling the HAWK kits but that doesn't matter that much. What matters was that the great bunch of people on this list go about their lives and for the brief moments that we talk to each other - as my brother would say - it's all good!

Happy New Year - 2015!
