Subject: Re: [korgpolyex] Korg Ex800 Buttons replacement

Personally, I am just looking for the button caps.  I can reach into the guts of the exposed EX and tap the actual switches to change parameters, etc., but I have had ZERO luck locating the buttons that actually go over the switches.  The "buttons" that you would touch on the surface of a brand new EX-800 are what I am missing; the switches underneath are intact.

If anyone has a source on functional buttons that are compatible with the EX, please let me know

If someone has the entire EX-800 service manual including the parts list, it should be easy to find. Too bad the service manual in the files section of this group only has pages 1-5. Page 10 is the parts list. For the Poly-800, which is an entirely different switch, you can see that it uses Panasonic EVQQJB04K , and I found a Panasonic “Discontinued” notice on the web that stated that part was replaced by EVQPAE04M, which is still available. Of course, I’m talking about the tact switch under the button cap, not the button cap itself. Are you guys talking about the tact switch or the cap? To find the right switch for the EX-800, you might need to just measure one and find a tact switch the same size.

Oh man, I have this question too.  My EX-800 is missing all but one of the push buttons.

From what I understand, replacement buttons are essentially impossible to find.  I would LOVE to know where I could source replacement button for the EX-800.

Someone should sticky this!
