Subject: Floating an idea...

The HAWK is nice. But the right way to have done it would have been to simply remove the CPU (80C85) and replace it with a high performance CPU module. I am now working on a new product totally unrelated to music synthesis. But the process has led me to believe that I ought to float the idea of producing a brand new HAWK 2.0 based upon a much better CPU.

The only way I will do this is if I have support from other people who can write C. Because it will be a big effort to rewrite all of the code into C.

The benefit of using a STM32 type processor is that there will be endless opportunities to improve the synth and the performance (especially those slow EG's) would be dramatically improved.

Who has C programming experience that would be willing to commit time to such a project? Put your hands up.
