Hi,
this is pretty awesome! All projects like this (not that there are similar ones) are great! It's not the details but the project itself. The work from idea to implementation and even to usabke stage. Great work!
I wish I could watch the video soon in non-noisy non-restaurant environment ;) I'm looking for inspiration on my possible future projects. I have an EX-800 opened for cutoff pot installation.
Cheers!

Well after a year of concept, planning, designing it is done.
I present to you custom MIDI controllers using Flight Simulator controls like the Saitek X-45 Flight Throttle Stick, a set of CH Pro Pedals and a 1940's voltmeter re-purposed to contain the PIC that makes it all happen and add's a few more controls plus some SteamPunk analog meter fanfare to bling it out a bit.

I didn't think I'd ever get it accomplished. But it's definitely been worth the effort and $$$ sunk into the project to get these nifty controllers to work.
I have a Highly Liquid MIDI CPU inside the voltmeter case (it's a small 8bit PIC). It is sending out CC's 84/85 to change parameter values.
The PIC can be reconfig'd easily with .syx files to customize the behavior of the controls.
It can easily control DAW plugins with the MIDI learn features.
Just thought I'd share. I have had them working for awhile, but I just now found time to document them on video.
