Here is something from one of my old posts,with examples of different versions:
S/N011912 KLM-596-2 - had no solder pads and no battery.
S/N041368 KLM-596-7 - had solder pads but no battery. R1 and D1 arestill on the board.
S/N 073712KLM-596-8 - had solder pads and a battery.No R1 or D1 exist on the board.
You can search some of the old posts fordiscussions about how to add a lithium cell battery (one of mine was from Aug31, 2011) and you can read the file from hexafuzz in the Yahoo group Files/Poly-800/Servicingsection.

So I do not know what might be done in thiscase, could you please give me some advise?.
