Subject: Re: POLY800 Mod Question: dedicated effects?

all you really need is a simple plunger type Desoldering pump
some desolder braid and a small flat screwdriver

snag the deslder braid onto the IC pins and tug on it while you have it hot
that helps to free it up from the printed circuit board

Also toying with the idea of a narrow piano hinge across the back edge so I could hinge up for easy access ;).

It doesn't matter to me that I have 2 or 3 chords coming out for A/C, that's what powerstrips are for, though purists of aesthetics may scoff :) My dedicated effects module will be piggy backed, not integrated. I'm not planning a complete integration like frankenkorg, because I simply don't have that kind of skill.
