Hi Jason,

I excluded Arturia only because they only have the Minibrute as a hardware synth and luckily put the Steiner-Parker filter inside. (Like in the old EVI's and EWI's)
Very distinct sound, like it a lot.

There's more than enough Moog sounds available, so (except for marketing purposes) why build more of them ? Get the real thing, buy a Moog (or Realistic MG-1)
Now, back to noodling on the Model D ;-)

Cheers, Peter

Hi Peter,

I think Gordon, was probably trying to be funny, either that or he is an idiot. ;)
Oh yeah the Steiner-Parker filter on the Minibrute is brilliant, hence why I paid £409 for one.
I love the filter on the Monotribe too,I was thinking about buying the MS-20 remake too but the Minibrute looked more interesting.

Ah,

horrible filters. That must be the reason why all other synthmakers try to copy them. (except arturia of course)

They have horrible filters. There's no definition, just a big blurry squelch of noise. It's like smearing undercooked chocolate cake all over your mix.

Hate them.
