Thanks much, I had it open and didn't SEE any solder breaks but I'll recheck with a voltmeter or try replacing the jacks all together while I'm already changing out the toggle switches.
And Yes, I 'm a bit verbose. I'll try to keep my posts shorter and more pithy.

At this point I'm seriously thinking of just snagging a functioning EX-800 or another poly800 on eBay to make my life easier.
