I've just read a bit more on this. It also has a 3rd push function so it would do up/down and write as well.

Hi all,
I seem to remember someone mentioning using an encoder instead of the up/down buttons. It may be possible to use this module but I haven't tried it myself. Just thought I would mention it in case anyone was interested. I think the outputs would be connected across the switch contacts.
