... we ran an external audio signal thru the Poly 800's VCF?

Well, it would sound like this-

That was pretty easy to do since I have a set of DipClips to latch right onto the NJM2069's pins.
Sorry the vid is all shakey/jumbled up and not the best audio, but it gives a good idea what happens to an external audio source when ran thru the filter.

This can also kinda give you an idea of what a new voice would sound like in the HAWK800.
My JX-1's "SynthLead" patch is a fairly powerful sounding sawtooth (Romplered voice).

I'll try and do a permanent Input Jack to the filter in the near future so I can play around with more interesting combinations of DCO1&2 mixtures with varying filter modulations and some noise source as well.
When I do, I'll run it thru some external Reverb/Delay to fatten it up and do a quality stereo recording.. video audio recordings suck big time.

I think this vid just barely scratched the surface of what can be done with this simple mod. As you have seen, that was just one patch used on the Korg, there's a ton of different ways to modulate the VCF and mix in the DCO's... plus not to mention, the sky's the limit as to what "Voice" you put thru the filter.

I know there's a YouTube vid of a similar mod, I think it was recorded using a drum machine audio source. I think that guy had the input at DCO1&2's signal inputs on the filter.
I decided to do it at the final input stage for the Noise source instead of his method.
