Keep in mind that the AtomaHawk (which requires the HAWK as well) upgrades automatically control the FM-800 DCO source for you.

Along with all of the other wonderful things that those upgrades do.

You could try to put a resistor between the RES pot and the pcb,
I decided not use a resistor as the high RES level is great for
creating kick sounds.
Let me know if the DCO selector for FM works for you.

As mentioned, the resonance can be deadly (ears, equipment), so one should be careful with it: either set the patch resonance to 13/14 or else use some form of limiter after the synth output. It's super loud when self-oscillating.

I really like the new sounds when the Filter is set to 12dB. They must be closer to some of the Roland synths.

I'll probably do the FM Mod and the External Audio In one next.
