Anyways just google it "poly 800 battery mod" and you will find a lot of info...
As I own the Poly 800 II it was an easier mod but I believe that in your case the
best choice is just swap the external batteries, thouse for operating it without
a power adaptor, they keep the memory alive too, I wouldn't mess around with
the circuit that much just to put an internal battery, in my case it was just take
out the original battery and solder a socket in the same place.
Offtopic: For thouse of you wondering how to make the VCF CV IN mod it's the
same pin in VR2 where the moog slayer mod take place, just put a diode, for
example an 1N4148 between the positive CV and VR2, ground the negative CV,
keep the voltages between -5 and +5 V and you are good to go. Using Expert
Sleepers Silent Way I get a ditional LFOs in sync and with multiple waveforms
as modulation sources for the VCF, including S&H.

I suspected that the internal battery might be at fault here but there was no way for me to know for sure.
I'm glad the synth is OK. :)
I am now looking for a tutorial in changing the internal battery of the Poly.
If you guys have a good link to one it would be greatly appreciated.
