Subject: The HAWK kit - update

Hi Hawk owners,

For those of you who have been HAWK fans, I thank you!

The arpeggiator software update will be released very soon. I know some of you
are very interested in that feature.

For customers that bought the kit within the last six months, I discovered that
I was supplied with a batch of bad 256K flash memory chips.

If you experience problems with your kits I am going to provide a repair
service. I will help you to determine if your kit has a bad flash chip.

Then, you pick up the cost of shipping the HAWK board back to me and I will do
the repair for you and pick up the cost of shipping it back to you.

I apologize for the difficulty some of you have recently experienced. I hope you
can understand that when I or anyone else order chips, we all have an
expectation that the chips are OK. In this particular shipment of chips, I
discovered that 4 out 5 of them were bad.

A little update on the hardware side of things. I have redesigned the HAWK
board. It is now much smaller and uses fewer chips. This makes it much better
for MK2 owners and much easier to mount in the Poly-800 and the EX-800.

Thanks for taking a moment to read my update.

Rock on - Korgers!

Mike
