Hi....I own two of these little Beasties....both had the same problem at Power-On

Both due to its Memory being wiped And no internal backup Battery installed

at all !!!  Patch 11 is always its "Scratchpad", so to speak and gets erased easlily.......You must program a patch-voice completely AND save it to a patch number OTHER than 11 !  Of course that will all go away as soon as you extinguish Power.

No internal Battery, NO MEMORY during power down cycles.......I've repaired both no problem and added a 31/2 volt battery backup, now they retain the patches and never seem to fail.....! Otherwise Never turn the thing OFF !! :)

well... i just got mine too
it was old ...and of course, didnt retain any
of its patch memory. and when i first
turned it on and hit the keys ... there was a little
               fuzz and humm
what i would suggest is just opene it up and
               take a look around
i recently wired in the filter mod myself
and i'm no technician (couple of radioshack years hehe)
it could be something just came loose that you can
               easily take care of
i say just a simple cleaning and overhaul
take it apart and put it together again
just try and remember where everything goes
and if you forget i'll send you a picture
                                 hehhe
                                 good luck
i find it to be an amazing price/performance
                              value
and its quickly becoming one of my faves

                                love, jermy
