Hi Wayne,

The service manual here in the files section shows all the connections but it's very cryptic. I just took my Mark II apart and looked at it but I don't have a working camera here. I can explain all the connections though.

There are 5 green wires. All of them are attached by screws except one end. It is soldered to the ground pad where the 1meg resistor is connected to the KLM-1032A board The 1meg resistor then attaches to the bottom grounding cover. The other end of the soldered green wire attaches using the lower left hand screw that holds the KLM-1032A board in place.

The second green wire goes from the upper left hand corner of the KLM-1032A board to the lower left keyboard mounting plate. I have my Poly-800 II open like a clamshell with the keys facing away from me.

The third green wire goes from the upper center screw of the KLM-1032A board to the next keyboard plate which is second from left.

The fourth green wire attaches from the lower right corner of the KLM-1032A to the upper left corner of the KLM-779-1 delay board.

The fifth green wire goes from the upper right corner of the KLM-779-1 board to the lower right keyboard mounting plate.

That's it.... I looked at the cardboard cover you mentioned I always thought it shielded the audio circuitry.

Hope this helps. I think this one was basically stock before I added all the hardware mods and the Atomahawk.
