I use an ESI M4U 4x4 midi interface. It's class compliant. Works great under win xp and 2k. I think it was $50 brand new? I know it was cheaper than the used micro express that I had before and didnt BSOD my whole system like the MOTU drivers did. It also never showed up as two pc flyers like the motu did!
lesson learned.
If you are on a PC, dont even glance at the parallel micro express.
