Ok the midi dump file tells it to go into dump mode so then you have to have to have your software ready
almost instantly to receive from the poly. Its nearly impossible.
So what you do is load the midi file (the dump request) in say cubase or logic and then set the librarian in record mode. Play the midi  dump in your sequencer and have the sysex librarian in record mode and voila you'll see a file appear in the sysex librarian appear.

Ive loaded the MIDI dump file from the files section in this forum and the program says it has ran it and then i see nothing...

should nt there be a sysex file with patches saved.....
