Subject: Re: [korgpolyex] MG1 paypal

Sorry if this is off topic but its important info for ppl who might be fairly new to all this e-commerce stuff.
I too got an email the other day saying that my paypal acct had suspicious activity. It asked me to logon and review the recent activity.
The email had a link to a very authentic looking (fake) paypal logon page.
I knew it was fake tho, because the address wasnt part of paypals domain.
This is a very common ploy called "phishing". If you proceed to logon to the fake page, they then have your password and can spend your money.

If you get an email like this, don't click on the link in the letter. Instead, type www.paypal.com into your browser and that way you're sure to connect to the valid paypal page.
This goes for just about any accts you may have online. Credit cards, online bank accounts, even myspace accounts are targeted this way.
Hope this helps...
