Subject: VCF external audio input

I completed another smooth mod 4 the poly800. I used a normally-closed 1/8"
jack to cut the noise source and allow you to send an external audio source
through the noise VCA->VCF. Also, the onboard chorus can then effect the
ext. audio signal..nice
I tapped the audio input at the "+ input" of capacitor C24. Basically, I
desolderer the "+" lead of C24 from the circuit board. I ran a wire from the
now-desoldered "+" lead to the "tip" solder lug of a 1/8" phono plug. The hole
that the "+" lead of C24 was removed from, i soldered a second wire from this
to the "Normaly-closed" lug of the phono jack. Finally, a third wire from the
"ground" lug of the phono jack to a suitable "ground" point inside the poly800.
The input is suitable for line-level audio signals. The poly800 has one hell of a
nice sounding VCF filter. In the absence of a jack being plugged into the
phono jack, the noise source is processed through the poly800 in normal
fashion.
Enjoy...use caution & mod at ya own risk buckeroo!
