yes, you can change patches up or down - and at a fairly high rate - and the further you push left or right, the faster the patches changes.

Same applies to parameter editing, push up or down to increase or decrease parameter values.

And since I thought this might be something used in live situations, I am trying to work out a way to allow a quick mode change from original modulation/pitch bend mode to patch/parameter change.

Mike.

That's actually VERY cool.

For people that perfrom songs with a lot of parts, and need to switch patches numerous times in a song, that is a VERY useful function. Can you back up ? That is, increment and decrement ?

OK, today I am going to toot my horn a bit because no one has bought a kit for weeks and it is bugging me a bit.

JUST NOW, I SUCCESSFULLY SWITCHED PATCHES UP AND DOWN USING THE JOYSTICK!

So over the weekend I will finish doing parameter editing, extended parameter editing and global parameter editing using the joystick.

Let me tell you all, it is VERY, VERY user friendly to switch patches using the joystick.

And, it is VERY, VERY cool to have the patch changes accelerate the more you deflect the joystick.

Just from a psychological point of view, to be free of that dang keypad is incredibly liberating. I feel like I just made an enslaved Poly-800 into a free agent!

And the best part of it was that I wrote the whole thing in one go without testing any part of it at all and it worked straight out of the box.

Man I feel good about myself right now. There must some disaster about to occur to bring me back down to size. But right now my ego is way big! LOL
