Subject: Re: [korgpolyex] HAWK-800 software update

2.62144 seconds to be precise.

that is, 31.250 kilobits per second with 1 start bit 8 data bits and a stop bit makes for 1/31,250 ∗ 10 ∗ 8192 = 2.62144 seconds.

It was most important for the bulk send sysex. In the existing software, I am able to send all 64 patches (11-88) to the Poly as a sequencer of 64 individual patch sends. All of those together add up to 64 ∗ 177 bytes = 11,328 bytes.

Now, the Poly is able to process just enough of the first of the patch messages to stop the buffer from overflowing. Because 8,192 is not that far short of 11,328.

For those of you who like to know such things.

Mike.

that works out to, what, 2+ seconds of incoming midi at 100% capacity?
might not sound like much, but yeah... that should be plenty.
